Teeth, Hugs and a Stroll

As promised I was able to snap a picture of Shayna's TWO new teeth. You may need to blow this one up to see it, but they're there!
Unfortunately, Shayna wasn't feeling well today. It seems to be just a small cold, but she still needed some extra TLC today. No parent wants to see their child sick, but those extra hugs do feel good.
Shayna is high-speed cruising these days. She can stand on her own now for small spurts and is starting to walk only holding on to one hand. Here she is leading Daddy all around the house.
"No, Daddy, go this way!"
Runny nose or not, there is always time for smiles and giggles with Daddy after work.

L'shana Tova

In the tradition of celebrating Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, Shayna would like to wish everyone a "shana tova umetukah"- a good and sweet year. This was Shayna's first Rosh Hashanah, and since we were all dressed up for synagogue, we took some pictures to commemorate the occassion.
Our family wishes you a happy, healthy and sweet new year.

1st Tooth

Finally! This has got to be the slowest moving tooth. We have literally been able to see the outline of her two bottom teeth for months now. We are constantly blaming her crankiness, sleeplessness, and poor eating habits on teething. Ironically, today Shayna was in a fabulous mood, and after a quick post-lunch inspection I noticed that the first tooth finally cut through the gums. It's just barely coming through so its not picture-worthy yet, but I'm sure we'll post a big toothy smile before long. We just wanted to share the exciting news in the meantime.
We apologize in advance for a lack of blog posts in the upcoming weeks. We are also quite pleased to share with all our blog-followers : ) that after three short months of construction, we are moving in to our new house this weekend! We are all extremely excited, and will post pictures once everything is cleaned up and ready for the public eye, but for the next week or so we are going to be quite busy cleaning, moving, and adjusting to our new space. We can't wait for Shayna to explore her fantastic new bedroom (with a special play area alcove) and her first floor playroom right off the kitchen. Check back soon for pics.
