Shayna has always loved when we read to her. Now she participates in storytime by helping us turn the pages. She is often a little over eager to get to the next page, requiring you to read really fast in order to keep up with her, but she has become very good at turning the cardboard pages one by one and will often do it when you ask her to, "Turn the page, please."
She also now, thanks to Grammie Mel's influence, enjoys removing her hat from her head. Not a great thing considering what a baldy she is, but adorable nonetheless.
Peek-a-boo is a classic. Shayna thinks its very funny when you hide underneath a blankie, and helps find you by pulling it off your head. She is also just as pleased to be hidden underneath something and pull it off herself when you ask her, "Where did Shayna go?"
And unfortunately for our friend QuackQuack, Shayna is now enamored with pushing things off the couch. She loves to push QuackQuack to the edge until he falls, then Mommy picks him up and gives him hugs and kisses to make his booboos all better, until he is promptly returned to Shayna only to be pushed to the floor again!
Shayna has clearly reached the age when we can start some fun interactive play and we are all enjoying it so much!

Oh man, I just realized if you zoom in on the picture of Shayna's eyes while she's playing peek-a-boo you can see all of her sweet potatoes and squash from that evening's dinner. Oops! Don't worry, it was a bath night!
